Meet Dr. Shaun McAlmont, Our Next Chief Executive Officer (CEO)
Dr. Shaun McAlmont is a nationally recognized leader in education and workforce training with more than 25 years of executive experience spanning higher education, career and technical programs, online learning, corporate training, and scalable service delivery systems. As a former CEO, graduate of the University of Pennsylvania’s Higher Education doctoral program (with distinction), and a former NCAA and international athlete, Shaun carries a unique combination of academic depth, team motivation, operational discipline, and executive leadership.
Shaun’s expertise is in leading organizations through operational efficiency improvement and change processes. His experience lies at the intersection of student education and employability, and he has led complex institutional transformations in traditional and alternative education organizations. As CEO of Lincoln Educational Services, he led a system of 35 colleges and technical institutes through operational realignment and regulatory change, while advancing workforce-driven education in a shared services environment. At Stride Education, he scaled the Career Learning division into a market leader in career readiness education, delivering services to more than 100 schools and districts. He served as President & CEO of NINJIO, a global cybersecurity training and technology organization focused on delivering training content, SaaS technology platform functions, and statistical reporting services to 2000 organizations and two million users of the learning platform.
Shaun is currently consulting with Lincoln Educational Services and Morgan Stanley, and keeps a close tie to industry trends as a seasoned board member, currently serving on the boards of BorgWarner – a global automotive technology company, and Lee Enterprises – a news & publishing company. He is also an advisor to the BYU Marriott School of Business and a frequent guest lecturer on leadership, organizational transformation, and the future of work.
Known for his positive, people-centered leadership, strategic clarity, and collaborative approach, Shaun brings a deep passion for education to building systems that empower lifelong learning and career mobility. He and his wife, Shari, reside in the Salt Lake City area and are the proud parents of four adult children.
